Therefore, when she says in this lonely quote that the feeling of being lonely and unwanted is the worst poverty of all, I take for face value. People can live with very little, eat very modestly, but feel love and fulfillment and will therefore be happy. Poverty is the lack of having something and it doesn’t have to be only just material, a person can lack love and affection and that is indeed the most appalling and frightful kind of poverty. |
